The best way is to use a transport-independent. Recently I tried to do something like this for my site, and it seems well contained, the better choice for video streaming. I think the company operated SimpleCDN http://www.simplecdn.com/ - the basic idea is to involve your players on your side so that they do not take care of browser compatibility, or something else.
Some other options are services like Amazon AWS - but to be honest, there are tons of possibilities.
