What does CR stand for in battery types? - what does cr stand for in the battery

I just got a new torch that stands CR123A lithium batteries used, but what does "RC" for?

* CR123A lithium batteries:
The cylindrical lithium manganese dioxide (CR battery) high-end features and characteristics of exposure to the best method for solving various Maxell and improve the structure of the electrical conductivity. Because of its very reliable, this battery is ideal for industrial use, for example, safety equipment and power supply for electronic meters.

* Different types of batteries with different types of chemicals and chemical reactions. Some types of batteries commonly are:

Alkaline battery - Used in Duracell and Energizer ¨ ¨ and other alkaline batteries. The electrodes are zinc and manganese oxide. The alkaline electrolyte is a paste.

Lead-acid battery - the automobile. The electrodes are made of lead and lead oxide with a strong acid as the electrolyte.

Lithium batteries - These batteries are in CAmerica for the flash lamp. They are made of lithium, lithium-iodide and lead iodide. It can bring the increase for the flash.

Lithium ion - These batteries are used in laptops, cell phones and the high use of other notebooks.

Nickel-cadmium or nickel-cadmium battery - The electrodes are nickel-cadmium hydroxide. The electrolyte is potassium hydroxide.

Zinc-carbon battery or standard carbon battery - Zinc and carbon monoxide in all regular or standard AA, C and D dry cell batteries used. The electrodes are zinc and carbon, with a paste made of acidic materials, such as the electrolyte.

Bug IEC serial number:

Shows the chemistry of lithium-manganese dioxide.

Since the cells produce 3 volts LiMnO2 is usually no alternative to a chemical battery CR # currency.

Conversely LiMnO2 to replace a cell two cells to chemical alternatives, 3, 6, 9 or 12 volts.

The number of CR cells correlates with the size of the cell, where the diameter in mm (with the exception of half a millimeter or more in some cases), followed by the height in tenths of a millimeter.
